The 1986 World Cycling Championships were held in Colorado Springs August 27 to September 7, 1986. The Koshares were invited to take part in the opening ceremonies and were very excited about their part in this big extravaganza. It was an experience they will never forget.

There were 82 nations represented and an anticipated audience of 220 million people around the world. There were 2,500 people taking part in the ceremony.

We have a video tape of the entire show and we will show this tape to the boys and their parents. The boys did not get home until 2:30am the next morning and they were so tired and keyed up that they didn't settle down until we were almost home. The older boys, of course, were interested in all the beautiful girls they met. It was a great experience, and one the boys will not forget.
