Zepeda Collection
On August 6th, Program Director Jeremy Manyik received a call from Ernesto Zepeda who announced that he was leaving the country permanently and needed to dispose of some charcoal drawings. Baker Donation
Two oil paintings [one untitled by Ernesto Zepeda and a second Apache Crown Dancer by Fred Cleaveland] donated by Christopher Baker in memory of his father, former Koshare Head Chief, Galen Baker.


Maria Pot
An original piece of pottery made and signed by Maria Martinez. This gift was from an anonymous donor from Missouri. However, we can thank Judy Hensley and Sandy Leonard for their efforts in securing this wonderful piece of pottery. They had
New Additions
One of the 239 charcoal drawings donated to the museum by Zepeda
overheard a stranger on a train excursion talk about a Maria pot that she wanted to donate to a “good home.” Judy and Sandy convinced her that the Koshare Indian Museum was the best home for the pot and the woman sent it after discussing the matter with staff.

Julio Castillo
May's Featured Artist, Julio Castillo, enjoyed meeting the Koshare kids, museum patrons, and museum staff during his show. To express his gratitude to the area, Julio decided at the end of his showing to donate an original piece of artwork to the Koshare collection.
