An original piece of pottery made and signed by Maria Martinez. This gift was from an anonymous donor from Missouri. However, we can thank Judy Hensley and Sandy Leonard for their efforts in securing this wonderful piece of pottery. They had overheard a stranger on a train excursion talk about a Maria pot that she wanted to donate to a “good home.” Judy and Sandy convinced her that the Koshare Indian Museum was the best home for the pot and the woman sent it after discussing the matter with staff.
