Special Scout Performance
On December 8th, the Koshares dance a preview show for the Scouts attending the Bent's Fort Holiday Celebration. Scout groups arrive on Friday to take part in candlelight tours of the fort that evening. The groups stay overnight in the Koshare Kiva, then spend the next half of the day at Bent's Fort to take part in wagon rides, games, toy making and other holiday festivities. Scouts return to the Koshare Kiva in time to dine at the OJC Dining Hall. After their filling meal, groups return to the Koshare Indian Museum to enjoy a Koshare Winter Ceremonial. Many Scouts will spend one additional night at the Koshare Indian Museum and then depart Sunday morning.
