When Mrs. Imhoff became ill and was liquidating her collection she wanted some of her husband’s paintings to go to the Koshares. Buck signed a note for $5000 and then borrowed another $5000 to obtain the paintings. The Koshares had a quick raffle to raise the money. Today those Imhoff’s are the pride of our collection.”
HISTORY
The Koshare collection spills out of the museum and throughout the town with a number of paintings on display in several local buildings. Unfortunately, many lie out of sight in storage vaults for protection.
