Main Celebration Schedule
Join in the celebration of the Koshares' 75th Anniversary all throughout the year in 2008. Our big celebration party will last three days in the month of July and begins on Friday, July 25, 2008.

A BBQ dinner welcomes friends, families, alumni and visiting Scout groups.

Special Koshare Performance for families and alumni.
7:30pm
See the change of the Koshare Indian Dancers from 1933 thru the present as Koshare alumni display the pieces of their dance outfit in Regalia of the Past.

Share stories of the past with a mid-morning brunch at the OJC Student Center. 
8:30am - 10:00am
In the Ed Stafford Theatre on the Otero Junior College Campus a Navajo Code Talker gives a lecture to those interested in World War II and the Native American's influence in the war.

Bridging to the Past with the Future: presentations by alumni, OJC President, current Program Director about how the past and the future of the Koshares and the community are linked - ending with a presentation about the new Facility Master Plan (building renovation and addition).

The boys perform an afternoon show for the pubic and visiting Scouts.

Buck & His Boys: an original play - presented by Otero Junior College Drama Department in Readers' Theatre style - Koshare alumni participated in the writing of this play. (Ed Stafford Theatre) Open to alumni and the visiting public.
Friends, families and alumni gather once again at the Student Center for a reception, banquet and live auction. 
5:30pm
Scouts, friends, families and alumni gather once again to share in 75 years of success while eating a Koshare favorite - Indian Tacos.
