(La Junta, CO) - La Junta is beginning its own version of dancing with the stars as dance enthusiasts of all ages are invited to participate in a series of ballroom dance classes ending with a Sweetheart dinner/dance in February.
Professional ballroom dance teacher, Nikki Jackson, will instruct six classes between November and February. With the ballroom dance craze sweeping America, now is the time for Arkansas Valley residents to step lively and take advantage of Ms. Jackson's availability. All classes are one hour long and will begin at 6:30 PM at the Koshare Indian Museum (115 West 18th Street in La Junta). A variety of dances will be taught, with a refresher lesson at the beginning of each class (except the first class). The lessons will conclude with a professional demonstration during the dinner/dance in February. Below is a list of the dates and dances:

The dinner dance ONLY is $75 per couple or $30 per single. Proceeds from these events will benefit the Koshare Indian Dancers trip to Japan this summer.
