Discover the inspiring story of how a group of boys built the Koshare program.  The story begins at the bottom of the Great Depression.
The Koshare Indian Dancers are the members of Boy Scout Troop 232 and Venturing Crew 2230 of the Rocky Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Dear Mr. Burshears:

This note is simply to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing you again yesterday, and what a pleasure it was to greet the members of Explorer Troop 2230 from La Junta. It is a fine thing that the Koshares have, under your direction, undertaken to interpret for people all over the country the ceremonial dances and traditions of the Northern Pueblos.

Won't you please tell the Explorers that I was happy to be able to greet them, and thank them all very much for the inscribed copy of "Behind the Zuni Masks" that they presented to me?

With best wishes,

Sincerely,
signed Dwight D. Eisenhower
