La Junta has the nicest folks - awesome people who love their town and make a supreme effort to let visitors know what a great place this is to live. We went to see the Koshare Indian Museum and watch the Koshare Dancers. It was a performance that rates a big Ten in entertainment.

Happy to see that the tradition continues. I visited the Kiva with Jamboree Troop 53 (NJ) in 1960 and had the pleasure of seeing the Koshare Dancers perform. It was the highlight of our Jamboree experience.

We take our scouts every winter to coincide with the reenactment at Bent's Old Fort. This is a great planning event the first weekend of December.
